Learn Tarot at The Midnight Sun

Beginning September 2009, on the second Sunday of every month, Ann George will teach a Tarot class. If you want to learn Tarot in Jacksonville, Florida, please arrive a bit early at The Midnight Sun, 1055 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida.

From 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Ann will teach from the Tarot Intensive course you see outlined below. Classes will begin from the Hermetic point of view, but are not limited to that theory.

Each class will be followed by a discussion group in the spirit of the great "Salons" of the early 1920's, when a Salon was a gathering of like minded artists, poets, seekers and innovators of the day. The primary topic will be Tarot.

From 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM a question and answer period and group discussion will follow. This Salon should faciliate a lively discussion of all aspects of Tarot and metaphysics. The class fee is $15 per class/salon. Reservations are not needed, but are greatly appreciated.

The Tarot Intensive - Course Outlines

I am publishing, for your reference, the course outlines for the Major Arcana Tarot Workshop and the Minor Arcana Tarot Workshops. These are intensive courses designed to teach the foundation of interpretation of Tarot from the Hermetic perspective.

When I first began my study, I found lots of books that told me what each card meant, but never why... until I found the Hermetic Tarot (reviewed in this section of my site.) If you are truly interested in the mystic, a deck of these cards is an invaluable purchase.

The Tarot Intensive Workshops

These workshops have been called "College Level" courses. They require a commitment to the study of Tarot, Astrology & some basic principles of the Tree of Life model of the world.

It is best if you have some background in the Western Mystery Tradition, the Golden Dawn, Hermetic and or Shamanism.

The Major Arcana Course Outline

This interactive workshop focuses on the 22 cards of the Major Arcana in relationship to the Cabalistic Tree of Life. The intent is to facilitate an understanding of the origin of interpretation of cards and free each students' psychic ability to read TAROT for personal empowerment and clear, accurate & objective guidance for the seeker.

The Minor Arcana Course Outline

This interactive workshop focused on the 40 cards of the Minor Arcana in relationship to the Cabalistic Tree of Life. The Court Cards are also reviewed in this workshop.
